In search for traditional Bulgarian music in Sofia

Staronovo, a duo of 2 young musicians went to Sofia, Bulgaria in search for traditional Bulgarian music. They recorded many musicians in different places. This recording was a spontaneous getting together of musicians on the streets of Sofia. A magic moment.

Staronovo will play a concert with music creations based on the field recordings and the documentary about this trip will be screened during the concert.

Orgamusa, a Belgian folk trio on tour in Guangzhou China

In the vibrant city of Guangzhou you’ll find a enormous square with a park where people gather to dance, play and listen to music every night. (If you know the name of the square, please comment below). Harald, Jonas and Rurik, three Belgian musicians who were on tour to play on a Belgian festival, decided to play on that square. The Chinese listeners were very interested as they had never seen Belgian traditional folk instuments like the Hurdy Gurdy and the bagpipes. They were filled with curiosity and joy while listening to the music and started dancing.
